Easter Weekend!

We would like to give a big shout out to all of the volunteers helping us over the Easter weekend. We are dealing with three different stray enquiries today, and also have a fundraising event on Sunday.
Thank you to each and every one of you, who have made it possible for us to continue our work over the bank holiday. We really appreciate all of your support x

Can you give Finley the outdoor home he needs?

Our resident feral Finley is still in need of a home. He is looking for a farm or stable home, where he can explore and roam as he wishes to.
Finley really isn’t keen on humans, and whilst his pen in foster care gives him shelter and warmth, he really wants to be able to explore!
Can you open your heart and give Finley the outdoor home he so truly needs? mkcatrescue@gmail.com.

Hobo’s Happy Ending!

Hobo was reported to us at the end of December 2016. He had been a known stray for over 18 months in North MK. Having disappeared for a few weeks, we finally managed to trap him at the end of January. He was a bit of a mess, and required lots of TLC and a dental. Hobo was also diagnosed with FIV+, but it didn’t affect his life at all.
Luckily, animal lover Nicci opened up her heart and home to Hobo, and today he left for his forever, as you can see he is already settled! We wish you both a happy life together <3

Pets At Home….u little stars ;-)

We had an amazing time fundraising at Pets at Home in Bletchley this week and a big thank you to Carole, Kath, Nikki, Claire & Stewart for helping out.  We raised an amazing £115.

The guys at Pets At Home are so supportive and we really appreciate their ongoing support 🙂

Quizzical…..

Solomon or to those who meet him (and fall in love Solly) wanted to say hi and thank you to everyone for attending our Quiz Night last night. Solly is currently under the watchful eye of fosterer’s Barry and Lyn and he just loves basking in the sunshine!

The money raised last night goes towards helping cats like Solly so big thank you x

Dennis

Dennis was feeling a little left out as his foster mate Frankie was getting all the attention on Sunday!

Dennis…..who we affectionately call our walking disaster, is about 10 years of age and whilst in foster has been diagnosed as hyperthyroid and deaf! He is due to have a dental shortly and we are looking into some kidney function tests just to make sure all is ok there.

At the moment his vet bill is about £600 but thankfully through tireless fundraising by our friends we’ve been able to get Dennis to this position where his thyroid is under control with medication and he is putting on sufficient weight that he can have his dental.

So thank you to our friends and families for all their support….by continuing to support MK Cat Rescue you are helping cats like Dennis.

Its a Farmer’s Life For Us!

Our lovely boys Sox and Perrin left for their farm today, we soon realised after they came into our care that they were feral, and it was the best decision for them to find somewhere to enjoy their lives peacefully.

Sox

Sometimes, cats come into care and they show us that they are happy and content without our company, and as sad as it may make us, it is in their best interests to live their lives exactly how they wish.

Perrin

Good luck on your new adventure boys

Lovely Frankie

Frankie was admitted into our care into January 2017, and has required intensive treatment with antibiotics and pain relief due to the poor condition of his gums. He’s had a dental but is still undergoing some tests as preliminary tests indicate he is FIV which may impinge on his ability to heal…it may take some time.
Well you know us we’re in in for the long haul, so he can take all the time he needs to heal, and then we’ll find him his purrfect home.
So for now we wanted you to say hello to Frankie, and if you could send him lots of love whilst he recuperates well that would just be grand.

A day in the life of Sooty!

His fosterer captured this lovely footage of him, that we shared on our facebook page, enjoying some cuddles, and some good old playtime.

Sooty is still looking for his forever home, he is 3 years old and such a sweet and loving boy.

Can you be the one to give him the home he so truly deserves? Please contact us at mkcatrescue@gmail.com.
